Moberly Man Hospitalized after Randolph County Crash on Missouri 3 near Mount Airy
Randolph County, Missouri (December 6, 2018) – A male driver from Moberly was seriously injured in an accident involving two vehicles on Thursday morning in Randolph County, according to a police report.
The collision took place at about 9:50 a.m. on Missouri 3, just north of Mount Airy.
The police said a 1995 Ford Aspire, driven by Charles Gibson, 59, of Moberly, slid on the snow-covered road and traveled into the path of a 2002 Ford Taurus. The Ford Taurus, which was being driven by 18-year-old Owen Thornburg of Clifton Hills, struck the Ford Aspire.
Gibson sustained serious injuries in the accident and was taken to University Hospital by Randolph County Ambulance.
The Ford Aspire was totaled while the Ford Taurus was extensively damaged and both were towed by Palmatory’s.
