Kansas City Woman Injured in Jackson County Accident on I-29 near North Oak Traffic Way
Jackson County, Missouri (December 9, 2017) – A Kansas City woman was left injured following a two-car crash Friday evening in Jackson County.
According to the MSHP, the accident happened at around 5:35 p.m. December 7, on I-29 Southbound, approximately 0.2 miles south of North Oak Traffic Way.
As per the report, 68-year-old Larry J. Heng of Lake Waukomis was driving a 2018 Ford southbound on I-29 when he slowed down due to traffic congestion and was rear-ended by a 2008 Dodge, driven by 63-year-old Karyn R. Chastain of Kansas City.
The report showed that a passenger in the Dodge, 86-year-old Myrle Chastain of Kansas City, suffered minor injuries and was transported by KC Fire to North Kansas City Hospital.
As per the vehicular damage report, the Dodge sustained extensive damage and was towed by Platinum. The Ford, on the other hand, had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
