Larry Schlimme Killed in Cape Girardeau County Pedestrian Accident on Route OO near Burfordville
Cape Girardeau County, Missouri (December 9, 2017) – An elderly pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Friday evening in Cape Girardeau County, the MSHP reported.
The accident took place at about 6:30 p.m. December 7, on Route OO near Burfordville.
As per the report, a westbound 2001 Toyota Corolla, driven by Coleen A. Hale, 64, of Marble Hill, struck a passenger in the roadway for unknown reasons.
The passenger, identified as Larry W. Schlimme, 74, of Whitewater, was transported to St. Francis Medical Center by ambulance. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries at the hospital at around 8:07 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Hale, who suffered moderate injuries, was taken by private vehicle to St. Francis for treatment.
According to the report, the vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed by Hulvey’s Towing.
