Barbara Womack Hospitalized after Jefferson County Collision on Highway 67 at Flucom Road
Jefferson County, Missouri (December 6, 2018) – A driver from Desoto sustained minor injuries after her vehicle collided with another on Wednesday evening in Jefferson County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, on Southbound Highway 67 at Flucom Road.
According to the authorities, 48-year-old Frederick Drummond of Desoto, in a 2002 Ford F350, was heading southbound on Highway 67 while a 2016 Blue Bird Body Company school bus was traveling northbound. Barbara Womack, 62, of Desoto, the driver of the school bus, attempted to make a left turn onto Flucom Road and failed to yield to the Ford. The front of the Ford struck the right side of the bus.
Womack suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Jefferson by Joachim Plattin Ambulance District for treatment.
Both drivers had their seatbelts on at the time of the crash.
